Home Learning Week 6

This week we will be starting and finishing a new chapter on Mass in Maths - please see all the worksheets from MNP below. It may also be useful to check out https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zt9k7ty/resources/1 for more information and to consolidate learning on Measures. In Literacy, we are thinking of PREDICTION. We are going to think of how the fisherman gets the seagulls away from his lunch at the end of The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch. You can watch the story here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46wCRq50Wwg. Can you draw what might happen next? What will the fisherman do? How will he scare them away? Can you write it out on paper or even in a storyboard?

In RE, we will be looking at prayer and its importance for Christians. We also need to finish the assessment of our topic, Gospel, meaning Good News. Please find all activities attached below as well as this video about prayer: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02q88sl 

We will also be logging into Safer Internet Day and so there are some resources for you to enjoy doing there too!

W/C 31st January 

This week the zooms will be with the class on site. There is no obligation to join these zooms as we appreciate the challenge of home-schooling and juggling childcare if you are working, but if your child should feel well enough, then they are more than welcome.

We will be starting a new chapter in Maths on Monday and Tuesday - Temperature. The pages from the MNP website have been attached below. There are also some revision worksheets from MNP, which would be great for your child to do.  In Literacy, we will be doing instruction writing - designing our own disgusting sandwiches for the seagulls. You could always get your child to taste or smell different foods at home to think about this. Once the children have finished their instruction writing, they can write out a recipe for something tasty! It could be brownies, biscuits, a yummy sandwich or whatever you think Mr Grinling would like. See the recipe templates attached below.

No need to email your work across, just bring in to show us when you're back at school.
