Bondeni Update - 2026

On Tuesday 10th February, we welcomed Sylvie Barbour, our link partner with the Mpapwa diocese to Chiddingstone. She showed a brilliant Powerpoint of our link school, Bondeni, in Tanzania. We were delighted to see that all the fundraising we did over the last few years have enabled the school to have enough desks, computer/photocopier equipement, toilet block as well as two new classrooms (with windows).

We are delighted to have a partnership with Bondeni school, in Tanzania. They support us through their prayers and communication and likewise suppport them in this way as well as through regular donations. This includes raising funds at various key church services last academic year. Notably, the Christmas Fair 2023 and Sponsored Music, March 2024, both raised a considerable amount to help them in providing equipment and good education for the children at Bondeni School. Please see below:-

  • purchasing a desktop computer
  • photocopier
  • 17 desks (which will seat 3-4)
  • A photocopier machine so that exam papers can be photocopied enabling children at the school to sit important exams. This gives them hope and opportunity for the future in regards to further learning and employment.
  • installing a grill metal door for security for where the tech will be stored.

Partnering with this school helps us to live out our church school values and vision - to go above and beyond together. The Good Samaritan story is our school vision and underpins all that we do in helping others and supporting them so they can flourish and reach their full potential.

Year 3 have recently sent out postcards to the children to tell them a little bit about themselves so that they can get to know us and so we can learn about them. We are wanting to find out how they live, what their hobbies are and how they live sustainably so we can ensure we do the same, fulfilling one of our school values, creation.

Postcards - keeping in touch
