We believe that everyone who works in our school, both children and adults, should look smart and take a pride in their appearance. Children need to wear the school uniform.
Winter Uniform must be worn from the day of the Harvest Festival Service but may be worn before this date.
Summer Uniform must be worn after the Easter Holidays.
Tartan skirt or pinafore dress*, white revere collar blouse or white rolo neck top; red cardigan* or school jumper*. Summer: red and white striped dress. Conventional black school shoes; red sandals may be worn in the summer providing they cover the toes. Trainers are not to be worn in school. White socks, or red or grey tights.
Grey shorts or trousers, white shirt, school tie*, school jumper*. School white polo shirt* in summer. Conventional black school shoes. Trainers are not to be worn in school. Grey socks.
Black School Coat.* Grey school hat (£4), scarf (£4.50) and gloves (£3.50) available from the School Office. Summer cap (£4), also available from the School Office. A lightweight black waterproof for summer* (this item is not compulsory).
School red t-shirt*, black shorts, black tracksuit bottoms, black plimsolls, trainers, white socks. Red school sweat shirt top*. Chiddingstone School training top, compulsory in KS2/optional in KS1, available from School. A drawstring PE bag clearly named on the outside. Football boots for KS2 as required. In addition a house PE t-shirt is required for some inter-house sports events – priced £3 from the school office.
Small school rucksacks suitable for carrying a reading book and exercise books are available from the Office at a cost of £8.50 for Reception children and Year 1. Years 2-6 have larger grey satchels (£10.00)
Items marked* are available from Horncastle in Sevenoaks (next door to Waitrose) and are compulsory.
All other items, apart from those indicated for purchase from the school, are available either from Horncastles or any of the main chain stores – eg John Lewis, Next, M&S.
All uniform should be clearly named either by name tape or indelible marking pen.
In the interests of health & safety and security, children should not wear any jewellery, with the exception of a wrist watch. Earrings are not permitted in school.
