Chiddingstone Church of England School places huge importance on the wonderful partnership that it has with parents. Parents are encouraged to play a full and active role in the life of the school in order to support their children, working together to ensure that they reach their full potential and beyond. The level of parental support we receive at school is exceptional and highly valued.
There is an active PTA who organise a full annual programme of fundraising events and an effective class representative system which is an invaluable form of school-parent communication. Fundrasing each year in in excess of £20,000.
We also benefit from an army of parent volunteer support in the form of listening to children read, delivering guided reading sessions, classroom assistants, delivering specialist interventions and enrichment afternoon sessions such as gardening and French. Parents volunteer to accompany school trips and residential visits which enables us to deliver a full and enriched curriculum. We are also very fortunate to benefit from the expertise of many parents who run after-school sporting clubs such as tag-rugby and netball. Many parents give of their time freely and with huge enthusiasm - our children are very lucky indeed!
Our governing body is comprised of two elected parent governors and many of our staff are also past or present parents of children at Chiddingstone School.
